Dear Paramount Families,
The California Department of Education is offering an additional food benefits called Pandemic-EBT. The "P-EBT" enables families to buy food while schools are closed due to Covid-19. Children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals can get up to $365 (a onetime payment). This is in addition to our school’s breakfast and lunch pick-up program already provided.
All children who attend PUSD are eligible because we provide meals under Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and Provision 2 (P2).
Parents can also visit https://www.cdss.ca.gov/home/pandemic-ebt to apply online after May 22nd who are not directly certified for free or reduced meals.
The Student Nutrition Services Dept will pass out the Pandemic-EBT Flyers at our four meal distribution centers on Monday, May 18th.
