Chromebooks for All 3rd and 4th Grade Students

Keppel Elementary School

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Keppel Elementary. This year is going to be an exciting successful year for all of our students. We look forward to working diligently to foster an atmosphere that promotes a learning community that features child centered instruction and decisions, project based learning, academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement, excellent communications, and recognition of both student and staff achievement. I am committed to working in collaboration with you to continue to develop and implement this shared vision. Working together as a team we will move forward in our mission this new school year to create a nurturing, disciplined, and challenging environment in which all students can learn at optimum levels and become responsible members of society. We have so much to be proud of as a staff, family, and community.

Programs

At Keppel Elementary, we strive to provide a variety of educational experiences to support learning. Music with Ms. Song as well as the Harmony Project give Pumas something to sing about! Academic support with Mrs. Pearce in Reading Lab gets our Pumas excited about learning to read. Math and Reading Academy offer 3-5th grade students small group experiences to dig more deeply into mathematical concepts and to hone their writing skills. Art Masters teach our K-2 students to appreciate famous Artists and to create their own masterful works. Parents support is critical to Puma success which is why our Parent Institute for Quality Education offers weekly classes to Puma Parents. Computer skills are practiced and applied in our Computer Lab and every 3rd and 4th grade student has a chromebook to support digital literacy.
